Buying a Špindlerův Mlýn ski pass online: Gopass, flexible prices, children and cancellations

Since 2019, the Špindlerův Mlýn ski resort has sold ski passes in a similar way to airline tickets: a program sets the price according to demand and other factors, and according to the resort, the earlier you buy, the better the price usually is. You buy through Gopass, a sales and loyalty system that also works at other ski resorts, water parks and golf courses. We describe the conditions the resort and Gopass gave in September 2026. Gopass is moving to a new system in autumn 2026, so the current terms on gopass.travel and skiareal.cz always take precedence.

How flexible prices work

On gopass.travel, a program continually recalculates the price of a ski pass for a given day. According to the resort, the aim is to spread skiers evenly across the season, so prices are higher on busy dates and lower on quieter ones. The price reflects:

• how many passes have already been sold for that day,
• how busy the resort is,
• the day of the week, public holidays and school holidays,
• the part of the season,
• the weather.

According to the resort, prices change constantly, even within minutes, and the only way to secure the price you see is to buy straight away. You pay by card online. At the resort, a pass usually costs more: you pay less at the Gopass Tickets self-service machines than at the information centres, where prices are fixed, and the price on the day of skiing tends to be higher.

Buying online step by step

• Register at gopass.travel and choose the Špindlerův Mlýn resort.
• Under ski passes, choose the date and type of pass and pay by card.
• The purchase confirmation contains a QR code, which you can also find in the orders section of your account.
• On your first purchase, collect the Gopass chip card from a Ticket Point machine at the resort. The machines work around the clock and stand at Svatý Petr, Medvědín, Horní Mísečky, Hromovka and Labská.
• Keep the card. Every further pass is loaded onto it automatically, and you go straight to the turnstile.

A card in your name and passes for the whole family

Under the Gopass terms, the card is not transferable and is valid with the ID of the person it was issued to. The main account holder must be over 15 and can set up to ten linked accounts, for a partner and children, for example. That way everyone has their own card and their own pass, because the ski pass is not transferable either, under the resort's transport conditions. The conditions also warn that some types of Gopass card may be rejected at the turnstile because of different ticketing systems, in which case the information centre can help.

The resort sells passes for children, juniors and seniors. The age limits are set by the price list, which the resort had not yet published for winter 2026/27 in September 2026. You need to prove age with a document; for children, a health insurance card or another document showing the date of birth is enough. Children under six or shorter than 125 cm may ride the lifts only with a person over 15.

Cancelling and changing the date

Under the Gopass terms, you can cancel a pass bought in advance for a specific day in the orders section of your account. The money does not go back to your bank card but becomes goX credit, which you use to buy a pass for another day. The rules are:

• Until the end of the day before the pass is valid, you can cancel for a fee.
• On the day itself, cancellation is possible only until noon and only if you have not yet gone through a turnstile with the pass. The fee is higher.
• A multi-day pass can only be cancelled as a whole, not day by day.
• Season passes and FreshTrack early-morning skiing cannot be cancelled.
• The usual right of withdrawal for online purchases does not apply to ski passes, under the Gopass terms.

If you are injured or the lifts stop

The resort's transport conditions, valid from 1 May 2026, cover two situations. If you are injured on the resort's slopes, you get back a proportional part of the price of a time-based pass (except season passes). You must prove it with confirmation of treatment at the place of the accident within 30 days, and only the injured person is entitled, or one parent for a child aged 12 or under. For Gopass purchases, the amount is credited to your goX wallet.

If bad weather, strong wind, a storm, a technical fault or a power cut stops all the lifts at once for more than 180 minutes, you get a weather voucher for a one-day pass. It is issued at the Hromovka, Svatý Petr and Medvědín client centres, and you need a Gopass account to use it.

Buying at the resort and season passes

If you do not want to buy in advance, you can get a pass from the Gopass Tickets machines in the client centres or at the information centres at Hromovka, Svatý Petr and Medvědín. The resort has replaced the information centre at Horní Mísečky with a self-service machine. For the whole winter, Gopass offers SKI season passes for 2026/27, valid at nine of the group's resorts, including Špindlerův Mlýn, Ještěd and Szczyrk in Poland, and they include night skiing in Špindlerův Mlýn.

Pass sorted, pick up your equipment on the way

The ski pass and the equipment are two separate things: you buy the pass from the resort, and you can rent the equipment from us in Vrchlabí, 16.1 km from Špindlerův Mlýn. You can book online, at least a day in advance. You pay only when you pick up, by card, QR payment or in cash, and we do not take a deposit. Bring an ID card or passport, and it helps to know the height, weight and shoe size of everyone you are renting for.
