Ski service
Mr Honců sharpens edges by hand, not by machine. He holds the angle along the whole edge and removes only as much steel as needed, so your skis last several seasons longer.

The shop is run by Jiří Honců, who graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University in Prague and then spent several seasons as an instructor at an alpine ski school in Austria.
His direct ancestor was Jan Buchar, a founder of the Bohemian ski association and the man who brought skiing to the Giant Mountains. In the Honců and Buchar families, the love of the mountains passes down the generations.
You will find ski and snowboard equipment for both children and adults. Every item is checked, sharpened and waxed after it comes back, so the next guest gets gear that is ready for the slope.

Whether you come from Prague, Hradec, Liberec or Trutnov, the road to Špindlerův Mlýn runs through Vrchlabí. We are a few hundred metres off the main road, 16 km before the resort — pick up your skis on the way up and drop them off on the way back.
From Prague, Hradec or Liberec you drive through Vrchlabí anyway. Turn off for a few hundred metres and park right outside the shop.
We set the ski length and bindings to your height, weight and experience. No need to bring skis from home.
From here it is about 18 minutes by car to Špindlerův Mlýn. Your skis only ride this last stretch, not the whole way from home.
