We have summarised what the town, the car park operator and the ski resort have published, and marked what applied in winter 2025/26 and what is planned for 2026/27. In Špindlerův Mlýn, skiers mostly park at three central car parks, P1, P2 and P3, run by the town's services company, Služby města Špindlerův Mlýn. The rules change a little every winter, and in September 2026 neither the town nor the operator had published them for winter 2026/27. So we describe what the town and operator websites say and the rules that applied in winter 2025/26. Before you set off, check mestospindleruvmlyn.cz, which also shows the number of free spaces. ## P2 Hromovka: for Hromovka and Svatý Petr The P2 Hromovka car park has 600 spaces, according to the operator, and lies about 300 metres from the centre, right by the bus station and the bottom station of the Hromovka lift. According to the resort, it gives you direct access to the slopes on Hromovka and at Svatý Petr. In winter 2025/26 it included the Zadní Hromovka overflow area, and the only entrance was behind the ORLEN petrol station as you arrive from Vrchlabí. The original entrance served only as an exit. ## P3 Medvědín: for Medvědín and Horní Mísečky P3 Medvědín has 280 spaces and is about a kilometre from the centre, at the bottom station of the Medvědín lift. From here, according to the resort, you have direct access to the slopes on Medvědín and at Horní Mísečky. Ski buses and town buses stop at both P2 and P3. ## Free by day, not overnight: last winter's rules According to the town website, P2 and P3 switch to winter mode from 15 November, with free parking during the day. In winter 2025/26, both car parks went into winter mode on 27 November 2025, just before skiing started, and the rules were: - Parking was free during the day. You take a ticket at the entrance and need it to get out, so keep it safe. - Overnight parking was not allowed at P2 and P3. Anyone who left their car there overnight paid a fee. - For longer stays, including overnight, there was the paid P1 car park. - After the season ended, from 8 April 2026, the overnight fee was dropped and winter mode continued until the end of April. > **Tip from the shop:** Staying at a hotel or guesthouse in Špindlerův Mlýn? Ask your accommodation where you can leave the car overnight, because P2 and P3 did not allow it in winter 2025/26. ## P1 by the reservoir: construction and a new terminal The P1 Bedřichov terminál car park is by the Labská reservoir, about 1.5 km from the centre, and used to have around 250 spaces for long-stay parking. According to the town, it is closed until the end of November 2026 because of the lift construction. A terminal is being built in its place: the new Přehradní six-seater chairlift is due to run from here to Hromovka from 12 December 2026, and the new slope from Medvědín ends here. According to ČTK, a paved parking area for about 120 cars will be ready before winter, but the resort and the town are still working out the final parking arrangements. According to the resort, Špindlerův Mlýn has more than a thousand spaces in its existing car parks. Since winter 2025/26, illuminated signs put up by the town have shown the number of free spaces in the individual car parks. The town website also shows the current free spaces at P1 to P3. ## In the centre and elsewhere, you pay Parking in the centre and on smaller sites, such as by the Bobová dráha summer toboggan run, is paid and meant mainly for short stays, and private car parks charge too. Parking on the Bedřichov housing estate is intended mainly for residents with a parking card. At Horní Mísečky there is a paid car park for up to 150 cars; the municipality of Vítkovice publishes information about it. ## The free ski bus: four lines between car parks and slopes In winter, ski buses link the parts of the resort that slopes do not yet connect. In winter 2025/26 they were free and ran from 13 December 2025 to 15 March 2026. Four lines ran roughly every hour from the central car parks through the centre to Labská, Hromovka, Medvědín and Svatý Petr: - Line 1 (green): Bedřichov – Hromovka – centre – Svatý Petr – Medvědín - Line 2 (blue): Medvědín – Svatý Petr – Stoh - Line 3 (red): Horal – Svatý Petr – Medvědín - Line 4 (yellow): Labská – Hromovka – Medvědín – Svatý Petr From 16 to 29 March 2026, only lines 1 and 4 ran in spring mode, and then the town bus service took over. Timetables for winter 2026/27 have not been published yet. The resort plans to make the P1 terminal a boarding point for both sides and to adjust the ski bus routes so they wind less through narrow streets. The town warns that ski buses can be delayed in winter traffic. > **Tip from the shop:** From winter 2026/27 you can ski from Medvědín to Svatý Petr. The way back is not yet possible on skis, so you will need the ski bus, if it runs as in previous winters, or the car. ## From Vrchlabí without a car If you are staying in Vrchlabí and would rather not drive, regular buses run to Špindlerův Mlýn, and the journey takes about 25 minutes according to the timetable search. Under the timetable for line 405, valid until 12 December 2026, skis and snowboards travel only in a bag, and passengers in ski boots are not carried. ## Pick up your skis on the way in Vrchlabí Our rental shop is in Vrchlabí on the main road to Špindlerův Mlýn, and you park right outside, so loading your equipment is easy. It is 16.1 km, about 18 minutes by car, from us to Špindlerův Mlýn. If you book online at least a day in advance, everything will be ready for you. At the central car parks P2 Hromovka and P3 Medvědín, parking was free during the day in winter 2025/26, while in the centre and at private car parks you pay. According to the town, winter mode at P2 and P3 applies from 15 November. The town and the car park operator will publish the rules for 2026/27. ### Can I leave my car at P2 or P3 overnight?
